Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 60 g mashed cooked beetroot plain and unsalted
  • 60 g finely grated carrot
  • 1 large egg
  • 120 g oat flour

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mashed beetroot, grated carrot, and egg, and stir until well blended.
  3. Add the oat flour to the bowl and mix until a soft dough forms that holds together when pressed.
  4. Roll the dough into about 20 small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Gently flatten each ball with your fingers or the back of a spoon to form small discs.
  6. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes, until the bites are set and feel firm around the edges.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the snack bites cool completely on a rack before serving them to your dog.

Notes

- Use only plain cooked beetroot with no vinegar, salt, oil, or seasonings.
- Let the treats cool completely before storing to avoid excess moisture and mold.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- For longer storage, freeze the bites in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months and thaw briefly before serving.
