Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 large egg

Method
 

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2. Combine flour, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, and parsley in a bowl.
  3. 3. Whisk chicken broth, applesauce, and egg in another bowl.
  4. 4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix to form a dough.
  5. 5. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface.
  6. 6. Cut out biscuits with a cookie cutter and place on baking sheet.
  7. 7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and firm.
  8. 8. Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

Use oat flour for a gluten-free option.
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for 1 month.
