- 1. Preheat your oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. Wash and grate the zucchini and apple, then pat dry to remove excess moisture.
- 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine grated zucchini, apple, oat flour, rolled oats, egg, applesauce, ground flaxseed, melted coconut oil, and cinnamon.
- 4. Mix until evenly combined.
- 5. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to ½-inch thickness.
- 6. Cut dough into stick shapes or use cookie cutters for fun designs.
- 7. Place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- 8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. For extra crunch, bake for 5-10 minutes more.
- 9. Allow chew sticks to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
For crunchier treats, bake longer; for softer treats, reduce baking time slightly.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or refrigerate/freeze for longer.
Swap zucchini with carrots or sweet potatoes for variety.
