Ingredients

  • 3 cups unsweetened puffed rice cereal
  • 1/2 cup homemade dog-safe peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed optional
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional

Method

  1. 1. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease with coconut oil. Set aside.
  2. 2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the peanut butter and coconut oil, stirring until smooth.
  3. 3. Add ground flaxseed and cinnamon if using, and stir into the melted mixture.
  4. 4. In a large bowl, add puffed rice cereal. Pour the melted mixture over it and gently fold until all cereal is coated.
  5. 5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared dish and press it down firmly using parchment paper or a spatula.
  6. 6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  7. 7. Lift the mixture out using parchment paper and cut into small, bite-sized squares.
