Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt divided
  • 1 cup chopped seedless watermelon
  • 2 tablespoons creamy unsweetened peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons water

Method

  1. Place silicone molds or an ice cube tray on a small baking sheet and set aside.
  2. Add 1/3 cup of the Greek yogurt and all of the chopped watermelon to a food processor.
  3. Blend for 10 to 20 seconds until the mixture is smooth and pourable.
  4. Spoon the watermelon mixture into each mold, filling each one halfway, and gently tap the tray to level.
  5. Rinse and dry the food processor bowl.
  6. Add the remaining 2/3 cup Greek yogurt and the peanut butter to the food processor.
  7. Blend until smooth, then add the water and process again until the mixture slowly falls off a spoon.
  8. Spoon or pour the yogurt peanut butter mixture over the watermelon layer in each mold, filling to the top without overflowing.
  9. Transfer the tray to the freezer and freeze for at least 5 hours or until fully firm.
  10. Pop the frozen dog treats out of the molds and serve, storing any extras in a freezer safe container.

Notes

- Use plain Greek yogurt without added sugar or artificial sweeteners; never use xylitol because it is toxic to dogs.
- Choose unsweetened, unsalted peanut butter without xylitol or added flavors.
- Make sure the watermelon is seedless and remove any rind before chopping.
- Store treats in an airtight container or freezer bag in the freezer for up to 1 month.
