Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 cup watermelon seedless and rind removed, chopped
  • 1 cup strawberries stems removed, chopped
  • 1 cup water

Method

  1. Place silicone molds or ice cube trays on a baking sheet to make transferring to the freezer easier.
  2. Chop the watermelon into small pieces and remove any remaining seeds or rind.
  3. Hull the strawberries, remove stems and leaves, and chop them into small pieces.
  4. Add the chopped watermelon, strawberries, and water to a blender or food processor.
  5. Blend on medium to high speed until the mixture is smooth with no large chunks remaining.
  6. Pour or spoon the mixture into the silicone molds or ice cube trays, leaving a little space at the top of each cavity.
  7. Transfer the baking sheet with filled molds to the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until the treats are completely solid.
  8. Once frozen, remove the treats from the molds.
  9. Serve one treat to your dog and place the remaining treats in a freezer-safe airtight container or freezer bag.
  10. Store in the freezer for up to 2 months and thaw slightly at room temperature before serving if desired.

Notes

- Always use seedless watermelon and remove all rind before blending, as seeds and rind are not safe for dogs.
- Use plain fruit only and do not add sugar, sweeteners, or xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
