Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt unsweetened, no artificial sweeteners
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen mixed berries blueberries, raspberries, or diced strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon water

Method

  1. Rinse the berries under cool water and pat them dry. Remove stems from strawberries and dice them into small pieces.
  2. Add the plain Greek yogurt, prepared berries, and water to a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth, or pulse briefly if you want to keep small berry pieces for texture.
  4. Place silicone molds on a small tray or baking sheet for stability.
  5. Spoon or pour the yogurt and berry mixture into each mold cavity, leaving a little space at the top.
  6. Transfer the tray with molds to the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours or until fully solid.
  7. Once frozen, pop the treats out of the molds and place them in a freezer safe zip top bag or airtight container.
  8. Serve 1 or 2 frozen treats to your dog at a time and return any remaining treats to the freezer.

Notes

- Always use plain yogurt with no added sugar and no xylitol. Xylitol is toxic to dogs.
- You can use a single type of berry if your dog has a sensitive stomach.
- Optional mix-ins like a small spoonful of plain peanut butter must be xylitol free and unsweetened.
- Avoid adding honey for dogs with diabetes or weight issues.
- Store the frozen treats in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to 2 months.
- Serve only as an occasional treat as part of a balanced diet and adjust your dog’s regular food if giving multiple treats.
