Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 cup cooked carrots mashed or pureed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • Splash of water to adjust dough consistency

Method
 

  1. 1. Cook the carrots until soft, then mash or puree.
  2. 2. If using frozen blueberries, thaw slightly before blending into a puree.
  3. 3. In one bowl, mix half the oat flour, carrot puree, and half the egg to form an orange dough.
  4. 4. In another bowl, combine the remaining oat flour, blueberry puree, and remaining egg to create a purple dough.
  5. 5. Adjust each dough’s consistency with water if needed.
  6. 6. Roll out strips from both colors and twist them together securely.
  7. 7. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake twists for about 25–30 minutes until firm and golden.
  8. 8. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Never use xylitol—it’s toxic to dogs!
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
