Peanut Butter Biscuits Dog Treats: A Tail-Wagging Delight

Ingredients
  

  • cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • For the Frosting
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • cup cornstarch
  • 3-4 tablespoons hot water

Method
 

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, combine flour and egg. Add peanut butter, water, and honey, stirring until stiff dough forms.
  3. 3. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to ½-inch thick. Use cookie cutters for shapes.
  4. 4. Place shapes on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden. Cool on wire rack.
  5. 5. For frosting, combine peanut butter and honey in a microwavable bowl. Heat in 15-second increments until melted.
  6. 6. Add melted mixture to cornstarch, stirring until combined. Slowly add water until desired consistency.
  7. 7. Use a piping bag to decorate cooled treats with frosting.

Notes

**Never use xylitol—it’s toxic to dogs!**
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for 3 months.
