Wholesome Apple Peanut Butter Dog Cookies Your Pup Will Love

Easy homemade dog treats for your best fur baby! Made with peanut butter, shredded apple, oats, and pumpkin puree, these dog biscuits are my doggie’s favorite treat!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup grated apple
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter xylitol-free
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce or pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon optional
  • 3 strips cooked turkey bacon chopped (optional)

Method
 

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until incorporated.
  3. 3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/3" thickness.
  4. 4. Cut biscuits with a cookie cutter and place on baking sheets.
  5. 5. Bake for 30-40 minutes until firm. Cool completely before serving.

Notes

Ensure peanut butter is xylitol-free.
Substitute apples with pear or grated carrots if preferred.
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for 3 months.
