Wholesome Peanut Butter Oatmeal Dog Treats Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups oats
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup chicken bouillon powder or Better Than Bouillon paste

Method
 

  1. 1. In a food processor, pulse oats 8-10 times to create 1/2 oat flour and 1/2 chopped oats.
  2. 2. Add honey, peanut butter, and bouillon powder or paste.
  3. 3. Process until it forms a dough ball.
  4. 4. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  5. 5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  6. 6. Roll dough between parchment paper to 1/4 inch thickness and cut with a cookie cutter or roll into 1-inch balls and press with a fork.
  7. 7. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. 8. For soft treats, cool on racks; for crisp treats, leave in oven overnight with heat off.

Notes

**Never use xylitol—it’s toxic to dogs!**
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
